Having learned about the death of Mr Michael Ratner, reputable lawyer, activist and long-standing director of the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), Mr Adam Bodnar, Commissioner for Human Rights offered his condolences to H.E. Paul W. Jones, Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Poland.
For many years Mr Michael Ratner struggled for the closure of Guantánamo Bay detention camp and enshrinment of the right of defence to its prisoners. He was an ardent opponent of war, hate and limiting of civil rights.
