Commissioner for Human Rights

Promoting the principle of equal treatment in social campaigns

Date:

The Commissioner for Human Rights finds it appropriate that the public authorities undertake activities to promote the principle of equal treatment and counteract discrimination. The Commissioner reacted to the opening balance of the Ministry of the Environment, which included a negative evaluation on the participation of homosexuals and the promotion of the “gender ideology” in social campaigns. In the opinion of the Commissioner, “gender” shall mean a principle of equal treatment of men and women. The Commissioner requested the Ministry to express its opinion on this matter.
