Visit of the government representatives of Georgia

On 24 June, 2014 Anna Błaszczak, deputy head of the Constitutional and International Law Department met with a delegation of Georgian government representatives. The group consisted of employees of the ministry of justice, labour, health and social affairs as well as the LEPL Social Service Agency.
The visit was related to the ratification by Georgia of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by (March 2014). The visitors were interested in practical aspects of the implementation of the convention in Poland.
During the meeting Ms. Błaszczak presented various ways of monitoring the compliance of regulations of the Convention in Polish practice as well as examples of Human Rights Defender’s complaints brought to the Constitutional Tribunal related to the rights of persons with disabilities.
